First Baptist School, established in 1949 as part of the church’s total program, offers its students an excellent college preparatory education in a Christian setting. All First Baptist graduates apply to and are accepted by colleges and universities throughout the United States. The graduates of First Baptist have been awarded scholarships totaling over seven million dollars over the past four years. The academic curriculum for students from three year kindergarten through twelfth grade is enriched by Bible study, classroom art, computer science, private and group music instruction and drama. Foreign language instruction begins in three year kindergarten and is offered through the twelfth grade.

Students in grades 5-12 may participate in interscholastic sports. The Student Government Association and clubs offer the students an opportunity to develop their leadership skills through involvement in school and community-oriented projects. In addition to the academic program, the school offers a well- supervised extended day program for students in grades three-year kindergarten through six.
